1. Service Overview
247 NYC Mobile Notary (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides professional mobile notary, loan signing, and secure courier/document delivery services throughout New York City (all five boroughs) and Long Island. We offer same-day and last-minute appointments whenever availability allows. Our goal is to ensure every signature and document transfer is handled accurately, efficiently, and with care.

2. Appointment Booking & Payment Authorization

Full Payment Required
To confirm any appointment, full payment is required at the time of booking. Appointments are not reserved without full payment. Once your service quote is confirmed, a secure payment link will be sent. Completion of payment secures your appointment.

Add-On Services & Additional Charges.

During your appointment, if you request (or require) additional services—such as printing, scan-backs, additional courier drop-offs, or witness coordination, we will process those charges against the same card on file. By authorizing the hold on your card, you also authorize us to add any reasonable, mutually approved add-on fees to the final charge.

We will always inform you of any extra services and approximate cost before completing them.

Travel & After-Hours Fees.
Our flat quotes include standard travel within New York City and Long Island. If your appointment location requires extended mileage (beyond our standard service area) or if your requested appointment falls outside normal business hours (weekdays 8 AM–8 PM, plus weekends/holidays), additional fees may apply. These surcharges will be disclosed at booking and included in your quoted total.

3. Payment Enforcement (“No Pay = No Stamp”)
​We strictly enforce a No Pay = No Stamp policy. All appointments must be prepaid in full. If payment has not been received, the notary will not proceed with the appointment.

4. Cancellation, No-Show & Rescheduling Policy

24+ hours notice: Full refund.

Less than 24 hours: 50% of the full amount will be retained as a cancellation fee.

No-shows or unprepared signers: The full amount may be charged at our discretion. This includes but is not limited to missing IDs, absent signers, or failure to notify us of necessary changes in a timely manner.

Rescheduling: You may reschedule without penalty if done more than 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling within 24 hours is treated as a cancellation.

5. Payment Term Accommodations & Customized Billing

We recognize that certain organizations (Title Companies, Signing Services, or large corporate clients) may require alternate invoicing or payment schedules (Net 30, Net 45, etc.). To request custom terms, please contact our accounting team before booking:

6. Identification Requirements
To comply with New York State notary law, all signers must present valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification. Acceptable forms include:

U.S. Driver’s License or State ID

U.S. or Foreign Passport

U.S. Military ID
-
Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)

Municipal ID Cards (e.g., NYC ID) at notary’s discretion

Government Employee ID
No Expired IDs Allowed: Per NYS Notary Public Law § 182.5 (effective January 2023), expired IDs are not acceptable under any circumstance.
Credible Witnesses (when no valid ID is available):

The credible witness must personally know the signer.

The credible witness must be known to the notary (or present valid ID themselves).
-
The credible witness cannot be named in or stand to benefit from the document.
-
The credible witness must swear an oath, in front of the notary, affirming the signer’s identity.
7. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for delays or errors caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client, failures of third-party delivery services, or events beyond our control, such as severe weather, road closures, or mechanical breakdowns.

In no event will our liability exceed the amount actually paid to us for the specific service(s) in question.

We do not provide legal advice. We only verify identities, administer oaths, and witness and certify signatures in accordance with New York law.
8. Privacy Policy

All personal information (names, addresses, phone numbers, document details) remains confidential. We will never share your data with third parties except as required by law or to facilitate delivery instructions you explicitly request (e.g., dropping documents at a courier partner).

Any credit card information used for holds or payments is securely processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number on our servers.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

Any legal disputes or claims arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of New York County.
By placing a booking request and authorizing payment with 247 NYC Mobile Notary, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in their entirety.
